I must have missing pages
Or perhaps the cover’s blank.
Maybe the title is misleading
Or it could be just a prank.
The words might be misspelled
Or blurred before your eyes.
Punctuation, for all I know,
Mayhaps does follow lies.
It’s possible, I suppose,
That the grammar is atrocious.
Perchance the plot makes no sense –
I’ve never been precocious.
My muse likes to wander
And doesn’t make much sense.
Still, she makes a goodly friend
And sometimes tries her best.
